Troubleshooting: Arris Modem Flashing Orange Light
1) Wait If All Lights are Flashing Orange
As already told, the flashing of the color orange by all LED lights indicates a firmware update, you are supposed to let the process get completed. Know that the router/modem reboots at the end of the firmware update. Therefore, you must wait patiently until the firmware update gets completed and your device reboots successfully.
2) Create a Strong LAN Connection If Ports are Flashing Orange
Connect an Ethernet cable to the LAN port of your Arris modem/router and your internet gateway (ONT Optical Network Terminal). Be sure that you are creating a finger-tight connection. This will provide the internet connection to the modem and hence it will be able to provide internet to other devices.
After connecting the router to your ONT, you are free to connect your wired clients to your Arris modem/router through other Ethernet ports. If they flash green, it means the connection is successful. You also have to ensure that the Ethernet cable used by you is free of damage. Else, the port light will keep flashing orange.
Note: If any other light on the Arris modem/router is found flashing orange, it is recommended to restart the device. All you have to do is unplug it from its respective wall socket and connect it back after a few moments.
